Crossfade was established in May 2026, building on years of lived experience, creative practice and community engagement within London’s refugee and migrant arts sector.

Our founding artists and collaborators bring experience spanning over 40 creative workshops, 15+ live performances, 10+ radio broadcasts and more than 10 cultural partnerships. From community-led DJ sessions to performances at Southbank Centre and Glastonbury Festival, radio broadcasts on Worldwide FM, Voices Radio, Sister Midnight FM and We Out Here Festival Radio, and collaborations with organisations including Roundhouse, Counterpoints Arts and Oxfam, these experiences have shaped the foundations of Crossfade.

We’re still at the beginning of our journey as an organisation, but we’ve already started creating opportunities for refugee and migrant artists to perform, share music, develop connections and take ownership of their creative practice.

Our work is about more than participation. It’s about creating pathways towards artistic development, collaboration and leadership, where people with lived experience aren’t simply invited into creative spaces but have the opportunity to shape and lead them.

The impact presented here reflects both Crossfade’s activities since its launch in 2026 and the wider experience of the artists and organisers behind it.
